#10 Final Review Reflection

图片
Final Review Model details Feedback 1. Does not reflect the texture of water 2. The section cut is not clear enough 3. There is room for optimization in the structure 4. Changes in architecture can be expressed in the form of timelines 5. More content is needed to demonstrate how people use architecture

Initial concept During the on-site investigation, I found that towards evening, local farmers would gather their boats together, listen to the radio, and chat. I think, instead of being on small ships, why not build a space for them to rest next to their workplaces? viewfinder At this moment, the beautiful sunset will be a thought-provoking point. I hope that a certain part of this building, along with the elements in the environment, serves as a visual "viewfinder". On this island, the relatively prominent vegetation includes a tree and several reeds. The trees and reeds located on the island border form a northwest-southeast-facing plane, with a vertical direction that allows for viewing of the sunset. Therefore, I set this as the vertical boundary of the viewfinder, while the remaining horizontal boundary will be composed of buildings, which determines the double-layer structure of some floor shelters. Garden Based on the visual contour, it can be observed that fewer elem...

#9 Story on site: The Boundaries and Farmer

图片
Story of the boundaries In the Shangen Wetland, the boundaries of the islands have aroused our interest. There are different forms of island boundaries here, which reflect the human transformation of this land. How about see from another perspective? Before humans arrived on this land, nature endowed it with form Humanity has come to this land, and in order to cultivate it better, someone has suggested, "We need a fence to prevent soil erosion." At this moment, human activities are beginning to shape the form of this land. With the arrival of the rainy season, floods flooded the farmland on the island, giving people a natural response. "We need a higher wall to prevent floods! At the same time, we can build it more beautifully!" In order to resist nature, a wall made of neatly cut stones was built. As time passed, weathering destroyed the rocks and nature once again reshaped the appearance of this island. People had no choice but to build the wall again, and this t...

Advertising/Posters For the image, I want to present this design in a straightforward manner, similar to an advertisement. The bright yellow and dark background became my main choices, and this poster also laid the foundation for the style of subsequent image drawing. First Edition Plan&Section Plan Section  Overall, the main color tone is black and gray, with white representing the building contours and characters. In the final review, I was pointed out that there were no special textures reflecting water, which caused confusion in understanding. At the same time, the cut parts were not clear enough, and the line width difference between 0.5PT and 1PT was not significant enough. Second Edition Plan&Section On the basis of the first version, textures were added to the lake water section and the cutting line colors of the plan and profile were adjusted to highlight the cutting part. More furniture has been added to complement the theme of the tea house, and more content refl...

#4 Diagram

Diagram This photo shows the reshaping of boundaries given by nature to humans. When the stone wall distinguishes the garden from the external passage space, plant growth crosses the stone wall through the holes, giving the boundary a new appearance. This painting reflects the joint shaping of the building by nature and human beings through the collection: plants covering the top of the building reflect nature's shaping of the building, and human beings adding parts according to functional needs reflects human shaping of the building. This painting also showcases people's activities in this building through a college.

#3 Bonsai

Bonsai To better showcase the characteristics of the site, I made an abstract bonsai using materials obtained from the site. Main concepts The renovation of the island boundary by the local residents has inspired us. We have discovered boundary modifications of different forms and degrees. Lower level renovation: simple stone walls to prevent soil erosion High level renovation: neat stone walls to prevent flooding And As the plants grow naturally, some of them cross the stone wall, forming a secondary shape of the boundary. Obtaining materials on the site Bonsai Making I used wooden boards as the base for the entire potted plant enclosure and made a fence with wooden strips to represent human use of other materials to enclose the island. Use the soil, stones, and plants on the site to represent the contents of the island. afterword Unfortunately, plants did not survive in this thin soil layer, so I had to replace them with something. However, at the same time, this replacement also ref...
